Since 2013, this popular SCAA event has brought together hundreds of coffee aficionados, runners, walkers and friends to raise more than $75,000 in support of coffee women in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia through local organizations on the ground.
Women are the backbone of the global coffee sector, playing critical roles related to coffee quality and wellbeing of the farm and family. However, their efforts go frequently unrecognized, undervalued and underpaid.
This year, JavaJog funds will go to worthy initiatives to support women in coffee producing communities around the world who will be selected through an independent grant process as in prior years.
