EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
Dear Family and Friends,
Have you ever wanted to do something and not been able to complete it? Or, have you seen someone and said to yourself, “if they can do it, I can do it?” Have you quit something because you became discouraged?
My parents always remind me of a story of when I was younger and played soccer. When I graduated to the "big" field, I announced I no longer wanted to play. I didn't like to run. Then in high school I decided to do cross-country. Not surprisingly, my parents asked if I knew that cross-country required running. It was then that I really began enjoying the challenge of running.
As many of you know I ran the 2013 Boston Marathon. But my marathon stopped at 25.5 miles. I was never able to officially cross the big yellow and blue finish line on Boylston Street. Many families and lives were changed that day. Along with so many, it will be a day that my family and I will never forget. Crystal, Lindsey, Martin and Sean will not be there to cheer on the runners and many others will never be able to run again.
My goal is to raise $8,000 or more!
Please consider donating. You are supporting not just me but many others!
