Make sure you post your times and photos using the hashtag #dolphinprojectrace. What else you can do:
Dolphin Project is excited to host its first virtual race to raise awareness about dolphin captivity and the Taiji slaughters. This summer, join us as we run, walk, bike, or swim to show our appreciation for dolphins and spread the word that they deserve to live in the open ocean. The best part is, you can do your part no matter where you are!
Raising awareness in your local community is critical to our mission of ending dolphin captivity and the hunts that supply dolphins to aquariums and sea parks around the world. In the month leading up to the start of the season, we want the world to know about Taiji. This is a great opportunity to get together with friends and work on your fitness goals (or just appreciate the great outdoors and get fresh air) while supporting a good cause.
The official race will take place on August 20; you can share photos on social media using the hashtag #dolphinprojectrace.
You can also do the race anytime in the week before, or spread out your mileage across several days!
If you choose to log more miles, be sure to share your results!
Not a runner? No problem! Walk, bike, swim, or skip!
