The Story

The Come To Me Campaign is a national mental health campaign with the goal of spreading 4 main messages to as many people as possible:

* You are loved.

* Your support network is bigger than you may think.

* It is a sign of courage to ask for help.

* Life can be better.

The mission is to distribute thousands of orange wristbands with the words "Come To Me" on the outside and the phone number for the National Suicide Hotline on the inside. By large numbers of people wearing the wristbands and showing their support, the hope is that people will begin to talk more openly about mental health, become more aware of the signs of depression or suicide in their friends and family, and encourage people to get the help they need.

 Nearly everyone has been or will be affected by mental health at some point in their lives, either directly or indirectly. Yet in most places in America, there still exists a stigma surrounding mental health. It is time to squash the stigma and start talking about it openly and honestly.

YOU. You have the power to change someone's life through your words and actions. Act. NOW. ...The campaign itself was actually started in 2016 by a small group of college kids from New Jersey after the death of their close friend Joe Walsh.

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the goal is to wear these wristbands beginning September 18th. However, we personally rock these all year long!! Showing your support for mental health shouldn't be confined to a day, week, or month.

Bottom line is everyone knows someone who is struggling or has struggled with depression or suicide. We want to pledge by wearing these bright orange wristbands that we can and will always encourage people to come to us. Letting someone know they can always come to you with their struggles has more meaning than people realize. You could save someone's life by reaching out and asking how they're doing. That's all it takes, it's that simple. So please, take a stand with us to end the stigma surrounding mental health! Donate here to help this campaign touch the lives of so many around the world!
