This is a fundraiser for the Columbia SIPA student and alumni community, friends, family, colleagues and general public, organized by the EMPA student government, to do some good together and help people on the ground in areas affected by recent hurricanes. What started as a fundraiser for hurricane relief in the Houston region has been expanded to Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The campaign is modeled mostly after the One America Appeal of the five living U.S. presidents in determining locations and charities. The campaign has been expanded to include earthquake relief efforts in Mexico.
