Cleo Wolff Memorial and Family Fund
Organized by: WIAL Brasil
This fund was created to help ease Cleo's loss and allow her family and WIAL Brasil to not have to worry about the burden of her financial debts. Your help will allow her family, in particular, and also WIAL Brasil to start from a clean slate and continue to develop and grow within the WIAL family of international affiliates. Cleo Wolff had a way with words that inspired. She was the founding president of the World Institute for Action Learning, Brasil and the only certified Master Action Learning Coach in the country. Cleo worked as a consultant for 36 years in the areas of leadership, learning, performance, change management, organizational culture and life coaching at the executive and human resources levels with such companies as, Comgas, Firjian, Meritor, Enjourney, Electrobras, Itaú, NET, Sustentare Business School and many, many others... In her work with WIAL Brasil, she established key partners with such organizations as Insight, Dynamica and Accenture and believed that change was the path to personal and professional fulfillment. Cleo was a prolific writer and was extremely well read. Although she always had the aspiration to be a university professor, rather than discussing theories, she used these bodies of work to help us all understand how to improve our professional lives through the holistic acceptance and embracement of change, thus making for a better workplace and world. Among her specialties were her strong skills dealing with business/organizational relationships at work and in conflict resolution. She was keenly aware of the great potential everyone has in going towards what gives true meaning at the workplace. Cleo loved life and the challenge to deal with this kind of fundamental and critical change. Although she is already terribly missed, she successfully passed along to others the passion that she carried for Action Learning and its ability to inspire change in people. Therefore, the torch’s flame for the continued development of WIAL Brasil will shine brightly long into the future… Cleo had a degree in psychology from the Universidade Paulista (UNIP) and a Master’s degree in Organization Development from the Center for Social Development, U.K. Her current research focused on cognitive analysis grounded in neuroscience, regarding new attitudes and cognitive attitudes in the workplace, a new decision-making model, in which Action Learning fit very precisely and is an essential tool for development of a culture of questioning and collective leadership. She was an active member of and former director of Organizational Studies of the Brazilian Association of Human Resources (ABRH), World Business Academy Integrated Coaching Institute and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Aside from her professional interests, she also loved to read, travel and enjoyed immensely knowing people from around the world and of course here in her country of Brasil. Her being president of WIAL Brasil, a member of the Board and responsible for international certification certainly afforded her many such opportunities and she enjoyed immensely her work with WIAL.
