The Himalayan country of Nepal is home to some of the world’s rarest species and more than 8 million people. Electricity is a privilege unavailable to most poor families in this region. Because of this, they rely on thousands of pounds of wood a year for their daily cooking needs. This leads to a huge number of trees being cut down and wildlife losing their habitat.
Our challenge is to raise funds to help provide families with clean, green, biogas cookstoves which will benefit people, wildlife, and the planet.
The average cost of one biogas system including a cookstove, biogas plant, and a toilet is $565.00.
Your voice is the most powerful tool. Spread the word in your community asking for their support and help us reach our goal of bringing biogas cookstoves to an entire village. Click “Fundraise for this Campaign” to get started or click the “Donate” button to help us reach our goal.
