Chords2Cure in Partnership with Shred Kids' Cancer
DEADLINE TO GIVE: May 01, 2018
Shredding for the Cure!
We are so excited to announce the partnership of Shred Kid’s Cancer (a 501(c)3 non-profit charity) and Chords 2 Cure. The mission of both organizations is to give kids the opportunity to support their peers who are battling cancer. Chords 2 Cure promotes a yearly benefit concert where student musicians showcase their talents in front of a live audience. As part of the program, this year OneRepublic, Magic Giant, Moonlit Kit and Kelsey Karter came to jam with the kids – making for a memorable experience for both the audience and the performers.
For the past 3 years, C2C helped fund an Ewing Sarcoma program at UCLA (in honor of fellow musician, Mafalda von Alvensleben, who is now in remission from the disease).
This year, we are aiming high with a goal of $150,000 to help fund a research and clinical trial at UCLA for children with recurrent liver cancer (like fellow musician, Jaxon Blumenthal).
