CDI Apps for Good is an opensource technology education movement that partners with schools and trains teachers to build the next generation of problem solvers and makers. Students aged 11-18 learn how to tackle issues that are relevant to them and that they are passionate about through the creation of mobile, web and social applications. Starting in 2010 with 50 students in two locations, CDI Apps for Good is now delivering its programme free of charge to 230 schools across the UK, positively impacting over 20,000 young people.
The Apps for Good course covers all aspects of the product development process, teaching students a range of invaluable business and technology skills as well as providing them with access to professional advice from a community of 500+ industry Experts. By 2016, Apps for Good wants to be in 40% of all secondary schools to change technology education forever.
