Please don't forget how much fun you have had at past events and at the same time how much good this fundraiser is doing. We are not only helping to reduce rhino and elephant poaching in Kenya and Indonesia, but our conservation partner in Indonesia is the primary fundraiser for protecting the Javan Rhino. If the rangers in the park are not properly funded it could mean the end for this amazing species. This would be really sad, especially when you consider their numbers have been on this rise the last couple of years.
Along with helping the rhinos and elephants, we are also helping to save Sumatran tigers, lions, Grevy's zebras, giraffes and so many of the other species that we have taken for granted, but now are heading down the path to extinction. The secret to the success of our conservation partners has been by foraging relationships with local communities and getting them to respect and appreciate these animals. The relationships have been made by providing clean water, schooling for their children, jobs, law enforcement and helping to create gender equality.
So we are not only helping the rhinos, and the other species that inhabit the same areas that they do, but we are also helping to improve the lives of the people that live in these low currency countries. Please get those teams together and lets make this one of the most successful BFR fundraisers yet. Also if you know of anyone that is interested in sponsoring the event or donating to the event let us know. We cannot let this be the first year we do not sell out or raise at least $30,000! Thanks for your past and continued support.
