Integrated Behavioral Technologies, Inc. (IBT) is a non-profit organization that aims to provide equal access to evidence-based services and education to children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other behavioral and developmental disabilities with a special focus on children in low-income and rural areas. They aim to help families overcome the barrier that stand in the way of accessing quality services such as applied behavior analysis (ABA). A treatment that can range from 25-40 hours of direct intervention/week. In the state of Kansas, only a few families are able access insurance benefits for ABA therapy. Even with insurance coverage, families could face copays up to $500/month. Without insurance coverage, costs reach up to $70,000/year for an intensive treatment program. Additionally, many families in rural Kansas can afford treatment, but can’t access services because the nearest treatment center is up to 5 hours away. Without IBT’s willingness to travel, and these treatment scholarships, many families across the state of Kansas would never be able to access evidence-based intervention for their children. Bowl Over Autism is the opportunity for great people who like to have fun to raise money for our scholarship fund so we can help more kids in the state of Kansas get evidence-based services!
