EVENT DATE: Apr 08, 2018
Avapalooza is an annual event, inspired by our daughter, Avalanna. Avalanna touched so many people's hearts before losing her valiant 6 year battle with AT/RT, a rare pediatric brain cancer. To date, this event has raised nearly $1 million to fund AT/RT research.
AT/RT robbed the world of this amazing little girl who accomplished so much in her short life. Before leaving us, Avalanna founded Cure ATRT Now, created global awareness of AT/RT and launched a movement that now has the potential to save other children from this death sentence. AT/RT is resistant to current treatments so new treatments are needed & funding is scarce.
Avalanna radiated joy, love, laughter & so much mischief. She captivated every room she entered with a combination of energy and wisdom far beyond her years. There was no greater joy than to be with Avalanna.
2018 will be the 6th annual Avapalooza - 6 is Avalanna's favorite number so we want this event to be the best Avapalooza yet.

To add some healthy competition, the top fundraising community will have Dr. Charlie Roberts, Director of Comprehensive Cancer Center, St Jude's Children's Hospital speak at your gym during the event. You will hear about recent advances in pediatric brain cancer research, how funds will be used, and have the opportunity to present your gym’s donation to Dr. Roberts.
As an added incentive, Cure ATRT will match the funds raised by the top gym (up to $25,000) so your community has the ability to make a huge impact in the fight against pediatric brain cancer!
100% of all proceeds go to pediatric brain cancer research.
Past Avapalooza events have funded critical pediatric brain cancer research at the Dana Farber Institute and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
