Dear Family & Friends,
I am thrilled to be participating for the first time in the NYC Half Marathon on March 15th to raise funds for APEX!
APEX is committed to promoting the development of inner-city immigrant youths by providing them with adult role models, educational programs, and career guidance. APEX's dedicated staff and mentors have inspired me over the years to give back to NYC's Chinatown's youths and I hope you will consider supporting me in this effort to raise money to continue to support APEX's programs.
I've set a personal goal to raise $1,500 by the end of this month to qualify to run. Also, I volunteered only two weeks ago to run for charity and am behind my fellow runners in raising money!
For those of you who know me well, I have never liked running 5 blocks let alone 13.1 miles. It was only a year and a half ago that I started walking/running and then discovered that I had a passion for running! I hope you feel inspired by this to make a gift to APEX and to consider supporting my ambitions to run (or jog, more accurately) the NYC Half! Every gift, no matter how small, helps.
I greatly appreciate all of your support!
