BENEFITING: ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION
ORGANIZER: ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I am proud to say that the Alzheimer's Association has asked me join their "Run to End Alzheimer's - Boston 2015" team to race in the 119th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2015. As many of you know, the Boston Marathon is one of the world's most prestigious road racing events. I am honored to be part of the event but my motivation extends far beyond the sport.
Last year, just after finishing the 2014 Boston Marathon my mother passed away from Alzheimer's. This followed the recent death of my mother in law to the same disease.
Alzheimer's is a cruel and debilitating disease. It currently effects literally millions of people with someone new being diagnosed every 67 seconds.
Each tax deductable dollar goes directly to either fighting Alzheimer's or supporting the caregivers of the patients.
It is richly rewarding spending my time to train, participate and volunteer in events in support of this wonderful organization.
I truly appreciate any donation that is made and thank you for the time and support you are giving. Please share this letter and link to my site with your friends, family, and co-workers. Please ask your employers if they would like to contribute and if they do a matching program.

The Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter is proud to announce that members of our "Run to End Alzheimer's - Boston 2015" team are running in the 119th Boston Marathon® on April 20, 2015. The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world's most prestigious road racing events. The Boston Marathon has distinguished itself as the pinnacle event within the sport of road racing by virtue of its traditions and longevity.
In 2014 the RUN TRI RIDE to End Alzheimer's raised over $1 million to support programs and services for those impacted with the disease. The Boston 2015 team is determined to continue this tradition of success, as we celebrate our 14th year!
