AJWS's Marathon Team
On Sunday, November 3, AJWS’s Marathon Team will embark on a journey that will test not only their physical but mental strength as well: The 2013 ING NYC Marathon. Through tireless training and dedication our will raise over $21,000 toward AJWS’s work in the developing world. We hope you’ll come to cheer on Team AJWS on November 3rd as they take on all five boroughs and race to the finish line to build a more just and equitable world!
Inspired by the Jewish commitment to justice, American Jewish World service (AJWS) works to realize human rights and end poverty in the developing world. AJWS advances the rights of women, girls and LGBTI people; promotes recovery from conflict, disasters and oppression; and defends access to food, land and livelihoods. AJWS pursues lasting change by supporting grassroots and global human rights organizations in Africa, Asia and the Americas and by mobilizing supporters in the U.S. to advocate for global justice. Working together, the AJWS community strives to build a more just and equitable world.
By being part of our community, you are helping AJWS bring justice, equality and human rights closer for all.
