THE STORY:
412 Food Rescue is my life.
After I heard about their multi-pronged approach to combat waste and hunger, I was totally on board. I would be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't want to help them!
While volunteering I met so many cool people -- donors and recipients as well as the wonderful 412 Food Rescue staff and fellow volunteers. Volunteering is such a fulfilling almost-daily activity!

412 FOOD RESCUE INC official description -
While we throw away 40% of food produced, 1 in 7 goes hungry. Founded as a direct response to the disconnect between food waste, hunger and environmental sustainability, 412 Food Rescue works to eliminate hunger and promote a healthy environment by rescuing surplus food about to go to waste and redirecting to nonprofits that serve those who are food insecure. Transported by a growing network of volunteer #FoodRescueHeroes, 412 Food Rescue directly transfers perfectly good food from food donors (grocery stores, wholesalers, restaurants, etc) to nonprofit partners that serve those who are food insecure.
