Introducing: The Hercules Foundation
January 13, 2017
BENEFITING: The Hercules Foundation
The Hercules Foundation was established to honor the memory of Sergeant Ryan M. Lindenbaum of the Fairfax County Police Department, who passed away on August 27, 2015 after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Ryan was a friend, a golfer, a student, a coworker, a police officer, a brother, and a son. More importantly, Ryan is our inspiration.
The Hercules Foundation, a Virginia-based nonprofit corporation, evolved out of a charity golf tournament that our executives hosted in memory of Ryan in May 2016. The goal of the tournament was simple - bring all of Ryan's family, friends, and coworkers together to share some laughs and memories, and have a great time doing something that Ryan loved - golfing. Though the tournament was put together with only a few months' notice, we had 70+ golfers tee off which resulted in raising over $7,000 to donate to Ryan's two favorite charities (The National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund, and the National Brain Tumor Society).
After seeing what a difference we could make by hosting a golf tournament on short notice, we decided to dedicate more time and resources to raise funds for these charities, as well as have more of a direct impact to those in need within our community.
Thank you for supporting The Hercules Foundation!
