November 2, 2014. Round Two. After each training run for 2013, I vowed to never do it again. The thankless job of running 16, 18, 20 miles with no one to cheer you on, no one to high five along the way, and no one to wrap a cozy mylar blanket around you when you're done...All that was tossed aside, like my extremely stylish, borrowed hoodie was on the Verrazano bridge. A much needed margarita at the end of the 2013 marathon solidified my desire to do it JUST ONE MORE TIME.
I will once again be running 26.2 miles (well, 26.6 by the time you're done weaving, but who's counting?) through the greatest city in the world. This year I am raising money for Camp Interactive. Founded in 2001, Camp Interactive inspires the next generation of tech professionals in underserved communities by offering year-round programs to introduce the creative power of technology to inner-city, at-risk youth. C/I uses cutting-edge education tools to provide students with the skills, opportunities, and leadership qualities they need to succeed and reach their maximum potential.
