THE STORY:

29 11 Inc wrote -

Our journey started in Kenya 9 years ago. Our vision for the future is to see children thrive in their own community, and to grow to impact future generations.

We work with vulnerable children who lack family support and live on the streets or in orphanages. We don't call them street kids, we call them untapped potential and we believe they are the future of their communities. We can turn a blind eye to their situation or we can help shape the future through them.

Our kids are taken off the street after evaluation and entered into a home where they receive a family setting, clothing, medical care, education, and life-skills. For those who are young adults, or have an addiction or other hurdle to cross, we offer a weekly program where they receive a hot meal, a bath with soap, toiletries, clean clothes when needed, and most importantly a connection to their community.

Our goal is to make the invisible, visible.

We pride ourselves on being a small organization with close ties to the communities we work in. We do not swoop in and disappear. We connect, and build our programs based on the suggestions of natives to the community. No one stateside receives a penny for their work, we are a volunteer run organization.
