“I NEVER KNEW WHAT BRAVERY WAS UNTIL I SAW IT IN ANDREA”
On October 22, I will be walking in honor of my cousin Andrea Jeremiah who was diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2015. When I heard the news it shook me to the core, Andrea and I are close in age and grew up more like sisters than cousins. Our family is large and full of more women than men and I knew of no known history of breast cancer so this was a shock. Andrea went for her annual mammogram and came back with a breast cancer diagnosis. It has been an emotional journey for her as well as for our entire family. Thanks to early detection, Andrea is cancer free today.
For every step I take I will be thinking of Andrea and the countless other Andrea's out there who are still in the fight and those who have lost the battle. Please take this opportunity to support my efforts. Give whatever you can – every dollar really does help. When I hit the road, I’ll know that you were a special part of my journey and of the journey of so many others along the way.
