2017 Picking up with PUCS
EVENT DATE: Apr 28, 2017
Our students, staff and volunteers will serve the community by picking up litter in Wilkinsburg, thereby preventing it from entering the Nine Mile Run Watershed. In addition to picking up litter, middle school students will stencil storm drains in Wilkinsburg to educate the community of the potential for storm drain contamination to pollute local waterways (Alcosan program) and weed and mulch tree pits with the NMRWA. We will raise much needed funds for general school support and for our scholarship fund. This school year, PUCS awarded $365,000 in financial aid; without it, many of our students could not have attended PUCS.
