BENEFITING: BRIGHT PINK
ORGANIZER: BRIGHT PINK
EVENT DATE: Oct 08, 2017
This October, I will be competing in my first marathon, the Chicago Marathon. Doing so, I will also be supporting Bright Pink in their fight against Breast and Ovarian Cancer. One in 8 women develop breast cancer in their lifetime, one of which was my Aunt Linda. She is now successfully in remission after fighting and winning a tough battle. She also continues to tie herself to the Chicago Marathon by volunteering yearly at the mile 25 water station, which I’ve also volunteered at in past years. So I promised myself to make the Chicago marathon my first marathon, and decided to dedicate it to my aunt and many others’ fight against breast and ovarian cancer. Please join me in this fight.

In 2017, runners competing in the 40th Anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will rally together to raise over $200,000 for charity partner Bright Pink. $200,000 has the power to educate and potentially save the lives of nearly 80,000 young women through Bright Pink’s educational programs.
We run our for our moms, our sisters, our friends… ourselves. We believe the women we love deserve a world free from breast and ovarian cancer. Join us on this mission to save women’s lives.
