2017 Team Hoyt VB Fundraiser, Rock n Roll Half Marathon

THE STORY:

This will be Beans EIGHTH Rock & Roll half marathon! You should see beans smile as he takes off for a race screaming as his dad pushes him!!! Team Hoyt Vb allows him to do endurance races and he loves every miniute of it. Modeled after the inspirational hereos Rick and Dick Hoyt, Team Hoyt VB was founded in 2008 and provides the local special needs community the opportunity to participate in over 22 races per year, including a destination race in Holland, Massachusetts with Dick and Rick in May each year. As a 501c3 non profit, Team Hoyt VB uses 100% of the funds received to provide services to the children and young adults as we are 100% volunteer. The money raised helps maintain the existing fleet of racing chairs, some of which cost over $2,000; and has helped purchase and maintain two trailers used to store and transport those chairs. We have also started a triathlon team and are purchasing chairs that can be towed by bicycles for the bike portion; these chairs cost nearly $5,000. We are dedicating a new custom, special chair in memory of Ashley Via at this years race. It will be green and pink, Ashley's favorite colors. Ashley was our Top Fundraiser every year. We miss her and her incredibly infectious smile.
