The Crossing of 2 Finish Lines...
April 24, 2017
BENEFITING: Find the Cause Breast Cancer Foundation
EVENT DATE: Apr 17, 2017
Hi everyone!! First I’d like to say that it’s a complete honor and a long-time dream come true to be invited to run the 2017 Boston Marathon! I’d like to express my thanks to the Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation for this opportunity and for allowing me to raise awareness and funds for their incredible cause of conducting research to one day prevent breast cancer.
ABOUT ME: I’m a native Bostonian and have recently moved back to the Northeast region (NYC) after many years of living in Dallas, Texas. I first dreamed of crossing the finish line on Boylston at the age of 10 when I would ride my bike alongside my dad who trained and ran the Boston Marathon in the early 1990s. After that, I continued to pursue my passion for running during my high school years and all throughout college. I’ve completed 8 half marathons and my first full at the 2014 Chicago Marathon. I’ll also be running the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon in October.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to finally run the Boston Marathon in front of my family and friends and hometown. Please consider helping me meet my $5,000 fundraising goal to help my friends and family who have battled breast cancer, their families and also those I do not know who are battling this condition and who can greatly benefit from this organization’s mission.
Thank you in advance!
