BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
A year ago I was morbidly obese, with a one year old, who had quit my job. I needed some direction. I found Team in Training and signed up for a 10k having no clue what to expect. After six months of training, I ran the race and realized I loved the entire journey that I went in! I signed up for the 2016 NJ half marathon! As difficult as it may seem when I'm running, it's nothing compared to people who have to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma. My dad's friend Bobby Leibowitz died from Leukemia in 1966. Bobby was a leader for Jewish youth activities who loved Star Trek and playing billiards. He went to see Cream's first live US performance with his buddies! While Bobby lost his fight, I hope the money that I raise can help someone to successfully fight these diseases.
