I have done a hand full of 5k's, a couple of 10k's, so in my nature I'm ready to step it up a notch to my first HALF Marathon! I have been teeter-tottering for several weeks what half-marathon I wanted to be my first, and when I recieved the e-mail from LSS for the chance to participate in Grandma's Marathon Weekend, I registered without hesititation.
I interned for LSS-The REACH Drop-In Center, in Mankato, MN for a span of five months and now am employeed part-time as a Youth Outreach Worker. My heart for youth progams has deepended ever since beginning my time at LSS and I could not think of a better way to give back to LSS and also to the youth I work with directly. I'm incredibly honored to begin hitting the pavement on behalf of Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, but it also is a personal adventure. I anticipate growing as an individual, a team player, and also as an Outreach Worker; which will make crossing that finish line ever so sweet-and I want YOU to be apart of it.
Please consider joining me on this adventure and partnering with LSS to raise funds for youth progams. I certainly could not continue these trainings and races without the cheering and support of my fans--family, friends, peers, and beyond!

The LSS Grandma's Marathon Team is raising funds to support young people in the Duluth area! In greater Duluth, Lutheran Social Service (LSS) helps over 600 young people every year, making thousands of contacts with them and providing them with the resources they need to launch into a productive, healthy and independent life.
