I am very excited about this year's BCM expedition!
This year, I will serve as an adult volunteer on a trip to Medicine Bow Peak in Wyoming with the partner organization, Touching Miami with Love (http://touchingmiamiwithlove.org/). The expedition will occur from August 2nd – August 8th.
Over my seven years of volunteering with BCM, I have been blessed to have friends that have contributed more than $10,000 to this cause and these incredible teen participants. My goal this year is to raise another $1,500.
So, what can you do with $5.00?
Buy 2 gallons of gas?
Buy a Venti, non-fat, extra-hot, Carmel Macchifrappudolcecini?
OR... You can change a kids life!
The goal of the Big City Mountaineer program is to provide teens an opportunity… an opportunity to see and experience things that most of these teens don’t even know exists. We want to allow these teens to see the world in a little different way, test themselves a little physically and mentally, and come out on the backside of the experience realizing that maybe, just maybe, there is a little more to the world and to life than what they have been exposed to thus far.
So here is where you come in…
I want to ask each of you to help me by supporting one of these teens for one day of their backcountry experience. To be clear, I am asking for $5.00. That is it… nothing more. If all of my Facebook friends contribute $5.00, I would raise $3,750 for this amazing cause.
Now, for those of you who might see the incredible value in this program and absolutely insist on giving more than $5.00… I will grudgingly, reluctantly, hesitantly accept it with the deepest of gratitude!!
Thank you for your Consideration!
