Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began in 1950 to help kids who need more than candy, and 65 years later, that need is bigger and more costly than ever before. I remember as a child going trick-or-treating door-to-door with my UNICEF collection box on Halloween. For 20 years, I've encouraged friends, family, co-workers and strangers to donate during the month of October by offering free candy and asking for your loose change (or bills). Those who wish to make a bigger contribution can do so here on-line.
UNICEF cares about making the world better for kids. Every day, thousands of children die from causes that are totally preventable – because they do not have access to clean, save water, basic medical attention, sufficient nutrition or immunizations that can protect them against deadly diseases.
UNICEF is the leading advocate for children’s rights in more than 190 countries, territories and areas. UNICEF makes proven, low-cost life-saving programs available regardless of income, ethnicity or location. Your donation can provide children around the world with life-saving vaccines, insecticide treated bed nets, emergency disaster relief, educational opportunities, School-In-A-Box kits and more.
Additionally, UNICEF is on the ground in war-ravaged Syria and along the migrant paths in Europe to provide tools for children’s survival. Your loose change will help improve children’s lives around the world!
