I began working in the Hospice industry three years ago. At the time, I had never considered what the end of life might look like for me or anyone else. In my time in the Hospice industry I have been exposed to life, death, illness, heartache, happiness, faith, hope and much more. I’ve walked into homes and sat with families who must say goodbye to their loved ones. I’ve seen family members worry and stress over basic necessities, medical supplies and finances. Those families want go above and beyond to make their loved ones comfortable at the end of their lives. Many taking time off of work to care for them, staying with them around the clock, organizing, planning, waiting and worrying. That is why, in my journey to race IRONMAN 70.3, I have decided to fundraise for Project 4031.
Project 4031 is a foundation that aims to alleviate some of that worry by:
1. Providing basic resources so the individual and their family are not consumed with worry at end of life.
2. Help fulfill dreams and last wishes to terminally ill individuals, bringing joy and fulfillment at end of life.
3. Provide medical equipment and medical supplies so terminally ill individuals are as comfortable as possible at end of life.
I want to make the road to Ironman 70.3 about more than just myself. I hope to raise $5,000 dollars before race day on November 8th for Project 4031 and I hope that you consider donating to this wonderful organization. Any donation is appreciated, and thank you so much for your time!
Please feel free to visit the Project 4031 website by clicking here to learn more about their oganization.
