DEADLINE TO GIVE: Dec 31, 2015
People with disabilities comprise the largest and most diverse minority worldwide. Approximately 1 in 5 people in the U.S. have a disability* and the older we get, the greater the chance we will become ill or disabled. Whatever the diagnosis, the most serious challenges in the world of disability are low expectations and a shortage of user-specific adaptations. Together, we can learn to challenge assumptions, create adaptations, and mobilize positive social change in NYC and beyond.
- $500 will support ADA's "Never Say No" policy so a child can get an adaptation they need when and where they need it.
- $1,000 will support ADA's "Made to Learn" education program for interns, classmates, and volunteers
- $1,500 will support ADA's replication initiatives across the world
Sign up today--as an individual or team--or donate to any of the Chair-a-thon campaigns already in progress. Together we can build a world of possibilities!
