This August 9th, I will race the Leadville Trail 100 in support of the Chris Klug Foundation. It's a personal goal of mine to race at Leadville, but more than that, it's a way to contribute to something bigger than myself. Racing Leadville is a challenge that will require months of training and preparation, but it is nothing in comparison to the sacrifice and dedication exhibited by the people I'm riding to support.
I'm honored to have this opportunity and grateful to all that support my fundraising efforts. Chances are good that if you're reading this you have chosen to support the Chris Klug Foundation's mission to promote lifesaving tissue and organ donation. Thank you. I hope you will take one more step and register to become an organ donor. It costs nothing. It means everything. The Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) is proud to join Lifetime Fitness for the third year in a row as a Leadville Trail 100 MTB charity team.
The year's team has committed to not only training for this ultimate endurance race, but also raising awareness about organ & tissue donation while raising funds to support CKF.
Last year's CKF team raised over $40,000 thanks to wonderful supporters like you! The goal is to raise $50,000 this year which will be used to continue our nationwide donor education programs that save lives by increasing awareness about organ & tissue donation.
